I need advice about some cool colors to paint my room?

I have 4 walls in my room. I want to do 2 colors and alternate walls with each color. I really want to do something with brown because I really like coffee and I have some things to hang on the brown walls that are in that color pallete. I was also thinking about doing the other 2 walls a light shade of bright blue. What do you think? What other suggestions do you have? Should I go with a chocolate shade of brown?I need advice about some cool colors to paint my room?
I think those sound like great colors. Chocolate would be nice because its not really dark, or too light either.

One suggestion though. The things you have to hang on the wall, might look even better if you put the coffee colored items on the blue wall, and blue items on the brown wall. They would really stand out more and bring the two colors together beautifully.I need advice about some cool colors to paint my room?
The ';Better Homes and Gardens'; magazine website has a feature where you can try different color combinations in different virtual rooms.

I love those two colors! When you paint the brown, you need to paint a dark tinted primer first. Trust me, one coat of a dark primer and one coat of the brown should do the trick, but if you do not prime, you might end up doing three or four coats of the brown. I learned that the hard way when I painted a deep red. And a more expensive paint is much better to use, it will cover the walls better and won't leave small dots between the paint. Less expensive paints have more water and do not cover as nicely.
I did my bedroom in a dark chocolate brown from Behr paints. The color is called ';Sweet Georgia Brown';. I did all four walls in brown, and have long white curtains on the windows and a solid white coverlet on the bed for contrast. I also added robin's egg blue large pendant lamps from CB2.com for a zap of color, along with scatter pillows on the bed in the same blue.

You can explore color options on the Behr.com site. You can select a color you like, and they recommend complimenting accent colors. You can even test out your color combinations in a variety of room settings.
Light blue and brown look good together, but I think a soft shade of pink with brown look great together. It's a classic combination with cream as the third color.
