Im a current college student and am going cross country in america this summer. If anyone has had any experience with this i would appreciate any personal advice BESIDES ';DONT DO IT';. Ive already done a lot of research and pretty much have a planned route. But if anyone has any advice on how to choose the best rides or any other extra info or tips you think i should know, then i would greatly appreciate them.Does anybody have any valuable hitchhiking advice?
All i have to say is i just drove from New Hampshire USA to Texas and it is 2,000 miles and it took 30 hours! so if you're going across the whole country that's CrAzY! but anyways here in Texas there are signs in certain areas telling you not to pick up hitchhikers because it's a prison area (so avoid prisons) GOOD LUCK!Does anybody have any valuable hitchhiking advice?

They also have a forum, information on cross country trips with routes and travel tips from others.
