I'm thinking of buying one, I live in a small flat, and being cost effective would be good. Vent or consender?
anyone had any really good makes that are worth looking at?
cheersI need some advice on getting a tumble dryer?
As you've probably gathered the biggest cost is running the dryer not the initial outlay on the purchase price. Look for the energy symbol when buying one. You can get A rated ones now but they tend to be at the more expensive end eg. John Lewis. Com-bi washer/dryers tend to be less reliable but take up less space. There are also a few dryers that allow you to dry overnight by blowing room temperature air through the tumble cycle. This is very energy efficient but takes a long time to dry the clothes.I need some advice on getting a tumble dryer?
Mine is a vent, we couldn't get it near a window but actually the air blowing out isn't too bad. I bought it from tesco and it's really little, about 15cm shorter than the washing machine, it's really great and only cost 拢89, I think it's Creda or white knight
If space is a premium why not buy a new washer/tumbler. We've used them since they came out and had no trouble with the condensing ones....from about 拢250. Indesit
you have to drill a hole in your wall for a vent where as a condenser collects all the moisture for you.I prefer a vent one and they are cheaper as well.
A vented unit will need to vent to the outside, through the wall. If not possible, condenser type.
