I want to move away. Have a few options of different people to stay with in different cities. Any advice?

My options are Austin TX, Santa Cruz CA, Denver CO, Seattle WA.

I work in Commercial Insurance, but it doesn't matter.

I just am anxious to get out of the area that I've lived the past 10 years, and graduated from high school and junior high from. I'm almost 24. Just trying to start fresh.I want to move away. Have a few options of different people to stay with in different cities. Any advice?
You sound like you're trying to run away from your life. The only trouble with running away is, we always take ourselves along with us. So leaving your old area isn't going to solve your problems. You'll just be taking them with you.

You should always move towards something...a specific goal. Say you decide to move to Seattle to take Marine Biology at the university there. (And you can do this starting with just part time classes until you can afford to go full time.) Or you apply for a really cool job opportunity you see posted in Denver. So you would be moving to better your life.

If you are stagnant where you are now, working in Commercial Insurance, but ';it doesn't matter'; what you do in the new city, you will take that stagnant attitude with you, and will find yourself in the same old rut in just a little while.

You must choose to change. And change for the better. Try to follow a few of those dreams you must have had when you were still in high school.I want to move away. Have a few options of different people to stay with in different cities. Any advice?
I would personally move to Texas. I live in Cali right now and its not the ';great and sunny California'; that everybody raves about. I want to move to Texas next year. The real estate there is fairly well priced and you can buy the same types of homes as anywhere else for a lot less. Seattle is always great, I've visited a few times. The cost of living is slightly more I think, but the same opportunities as Texas. I've never been to Denver so I can't throw an opinion out for there, but given the places I've been and my personal experiences I'd choose Texas. =)

Well i dont really know about the places you have mentioned above but even though i would advice you to stay in a place more developed then the current one. Also choose a place where people are more polite then the current one.Live with more pleasent people,it really matters, they make life enjoyable, unlike rude people.have a happy stay!
Denver is a nice place to move. If you like big cities may I also suggest Chicago? Its one of the cheaper big cities to live in compared to San Francisco, Boston, or NYC.
Austin or Santa Cruz, Yes.

Denver or Seattle, No.
There are so many oppertunities in each of the cities you listed. I would make a pros and cons list of each place to help you decide. I would consider the people you are going to stay with and how long you could handle living with them. Also, consider the weather and climate. It's very rainy in Seatle, very humid in Austin and very snowy in Denver.
Austin has a wonderful nightlife, great shopping, upscale dining at its finest, and best of all...Matthew McConaughey. It is a city on the up-and-up; a very populat tourist destination and great place to raise a family. Housing is still affordable in many areas, and there are plenty of noce rentals.

Santa Cruz is breathtakingly beautiful. It has a very cozy small town feel, and wonderful places to hike, camp, etc. It too, is a hotspot for families on the move, although the price of housing is fairly high. It has wonderful school districts and lovely weather, usually.

Denver is a large city, with many of the large city problems. Crime has been up and down, and the population continues to grow. There are, however, plenty of outdoors activities around, and the scenery is beautiful. You will also find a bustling nightlife, and wonderful little communities for raising a family.

Seattle is another very beautiful place. Again, you will find lots of outdoor activities, beautiful scenery throughout the area, and some of the most popular neighborhoods and communities in the country. It does rain here more than many other places, but the locals tend not to notice it much. It too, is a large city, but crime remains low per capita, and the people are generally very welcoming. The price of housing and the cost of living here is very high, but rapid appreciation in the real estate market makes this easy to overcome.

You have some very good choices; take into consideration the climate you prefer, and your cost of living. Stay close enough to home so you can visit when you choose to do so, but far enough away that you gain some independance. Good Luck!
Just remember, no matter where you go, there you are!!!

But if you are intent on moving check out cost of living and the things that matter to you in the prospective cities.
